ONDAS DA MANTIQUEIRA
The coffees farm Ondas da Mantiqueira are produced at altitudes 1100-1400 meters. The coffee plantations are divided into 16 plots where the varieties are grown: Novo Mundo, Acai and red and yellow Catuaí. Altogether there are 250,000 coffee trees.
Harvesting is done by following the rate of grain maturity.
The farm Ondas Mantiqueira has complete infrastructure for post harvest processing of special coffees, the complex includes:
washer spectacular wonder that separates and classifies coffee by gravity and current ongoing by water.
All production of mature and semi mature is pulped and dried naturally under the sun on clean and isolated terraces. The modern pulping equipment makes the automatic selection of mature and semi mature grains of coffee. After selection and the pulping process, the coffee is going to the terraces by a system of tubes, followed driven by gravity and pure water. Has two dryers with a capacity of 15,000 litres each, equipped with burner coffee straw and firewood furnace, derived from pruning own coffee plantation and reforestation of eucalyptus plantation and own production farm.
Has a full-peeler with capacity for 100 bags daily.
It has four terraces for natural drying of cafes, one in concrete, two in bricks and another suspended only for special select coffees.
The Farm has with one of the cornerstones ensuring all legal and social conditions of its employees. All reside on the property in 17 comfortable houses, equipped with heating natural water, and everyone can keep their organic gardens and raising chickens.
